West Ham win the battle to use their trademark bubble machine if they score against Wolves

West Ham have been granted permission to use their bubble machine during the remainder of their 2019/20 Premier League games.

The east London club blow bubbles onto the London Stadium pitch before each game and upon scoring a goal in line with the club’s popular anthem ‘I’m Forever Blowing Bubbles’. 

There were fears that the Hammers would not be allowed to use the machine due to the strict protocol rules maintained by Project Restart regarding health and safety concerns under lockdown.

But, according to The Sun, the club have been given the go-ahead by the Premier League to continue using the bubble machine, after talks between West Ham and league organisers.

West Ham restart their Premier League season on Saturday with a teatime clash at home against Wolverhampton Wanderers.

The bubble machine is normally placed on the touchline, in an area where only 105 people are allowed to enter on a matchday, including players and coaches. 

The Premier League have also allowed clubs to play music over the PA system before the matches, even though no supporters will be present.

It means West Ham’s anthem will be played over the speakers as their players line-up for the Wolves clash on Saturday. 

The Hammers are currently involved in a relegation dogfight and are only outside of the drop zone on goal difference. 

A win for David Moyes’ side could see them lift above Brighton and Hove Albion into 15th spot, who host Arsenal earlier in the day.
