Thailand has updated its travel restrictions due to the spread of the Omicron variant. Although the Kingdom has seen optimistic recovery following the country’s reopening, the Omicron variant has hit the brakes.
Here are the most up-to-date news and tourism information for visitors wishing to visit the Kingdom of Thailand.
Updated Test & Go – Travellers who wish to visit the country and have secured their Thailand Pass QR code before 22 December 2021 with scheduled arrival in Thailand from 24 December, 2021 onwards can still enter Thailand until further notice.
Sandbox Programme – In addition to Phuket, starting 11 January, 2022 fully vaccinated travellers can now also enter Krabi, Phang-Nga, and Surat Thani (Ko Samui, Ko Pha-ngan, and Ko Tao) under the sandbox programme.
Happy Quarantine – Travellers from any country regardless of vaccination status may enter Thailand under the Alternative Quarantine entry scheme from 11 January 2022 onwards.
