Sebastian Vettel crashed into the barriers during F1 testing on Wednesday and was taken to the medical centre. 

Ferrari have confirmed that the incident was caused by a mechanical failure and the German had been taken to be checked out as a precautionary measure. 

The accident data recorder in the car registered above the level of impact limit.
