Saga Cruises has revealed a new set of artist’s impressions for its second new ship Spirit of Adventure, scheduled to set sail in the summer of 2020.

Adding a ‘sense of occasion’ to the boutique luxury ship’s bold styling, Saga Cruises announced the Spirit of Adventure’s revamped look. The interior designers at London design agency AD Associates have created an eclectic feel with big-scale patterns, sumptuous fabrics and striking colour themes.

“The best of British contemporary design”

Nicola Preece, AD’s design director, said: “The interiors will embody the best of British contemporary design. The approach is bold and adventurous, eclectic, and with carefully curated use of colour, offering variation, big scale patterns and a layered palette.”

The ship’s refreshed leisure spaces include The Britannia Lounge with new furniture pieces; The Supper Club with walls made from glass and brass trim colonnades which act as screens; The Grill with bold floor-to-ceiling artwork; and The Spa with a new patina bronzed metal finish reception desk and bespoke concertina artwork as a backdrop.

Saga’s purpose-built cruise ship Spirit of Adventure is the second of two new passenger ships being constructed at Meyer Werft shipyard in Papenberg, Germany. It is planned to enter service in 2020 while her sister ship Spirit of Discovery will begin her inaugural season on 10 July 2019.
