Minister Toussaint underlined that the first edition of the competition received much recognition and was well appreciated by youngsters and the public at large adding that some 1 300 candidates (individuals or groups) registered for the casting.
The show, he said, will help identify and valorise the talents of participants and give them the opportunity to perform in front of the crowd. The Minister observed that the participation of several stakeholders will be needed to ensure that the show takes place in the best possible conditions with all due support and facilities.
He encouraged the youth to demonstrate their interest and willingness to participate in the show as well as to further develop their personal development.
Zenes Montre To Talan
The reality show is open to individuals or groups aged between 12 and 35 years as well as to group category consisting of a minimum of two participants and a maximum of 10 participants.
Zenes Montre To Talan 2020 will be implemented in different stages comprising: a media campaign to create awareness among the population; a preselection exercise / casting carried in various identified regions namely Port Louis, Agalega and Chagos, Plaines Wilhems, Flacq, Black River, Savanne, Grand Port, Pamplemousses, Moka, Rivière du Rempart and Rodrigues. A preselection of a maximum of 5 participants from each of the region will also be carried out and the finals will be held on 20 June 2020.
