Republic of Mauritius- EU reiterates support to Mauritius as a strategic partner

The Ambassador and Head of the EU delegation to the Republic of Mauritius, Mrs Marjaana Sall, made this statement, yesterday, following a courtesy call on the Prime Minister, Minister of Home Affairs, External Communications and National Development Unit and Minister of Finance and Economic Development, Mr Pravind Kumar Jugnauth, at the New Treasury Building in Port Louis.

Ambassador Sall expressed satisfaction regarding the meeting with the Prime Minister and added that both parties evoked the strong partnership between Mauritius and EU.  Discussions focused on Political Dialogue between Mauritius and the EU and several other issues pertaining to investment, economic cooperation on the international front, and Mauritius-EU Economic Partnership Agreement.

Ambassador Marjaana Sall, is leading a delegation of EU in the context of a Political Dialogue in Mauritius aiming to build a culture of dialogue and creating the foundation of solid relationship with member countries. The dialogue will group policy makers of Mauritius and international stakeholders to exchange ideas, enhance cooperation and come up with new agreements.
