REVEALED: Premier League to hold talks with players to decide if they want to continue to take the knee next season, while UEFA will support England in performing the anti-racism gesture at the Euros this summer

The Premier League are set for talks with players at the end of the season to decide if they wish to take the knee again next season.

UEFA will also support England in performing the anti-racism gesture at the European Championship, with Gareth Southgate’s side expected to be one of only a few teams to do so.

Players have faced some resistance since fans returned to stadiums with some booing the taking of the knee before kick-off.

Fans at Wembley for the FA Cup final booed before applause drowned out the protests.

Similar sentiment was heard at Old Trafford for Manchester United’s game against Fulham.

The loudest boos were heard at Sunderland on Saturday when the players took the knee ahead of their play-off semi-final against Lincoln City.

The final day of the Premier League season on Sunday will see games held in front of crowds of up to 10,000 with concerns the same may occur.

Clubs remain dedicated to the gesture as they continue to fight against racism.
