The 27-year-old has less than a year remaining on his current deal and has been regularly linked with a move away from United.

But Pogba is now open to committing his future to the club and the change of heart appears to chime with an increased enjoyment in playing his football for United.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side are 16 matches unbeaten in all competitions heading into Thursday night’s Premier League fixture at Aston Villa with the likes of Anthony Martial, Marcus Rashford, Mason Greenwood and Bruno Fernandes all looking good.

Pogba told United’s matchday programme: ‘From behind I just enjoy it. I’m enjoying watching Bruno, Rashford, Martial and Mason, who all played the last game [a 5-2 win over Bournemouth] and seeing them score goals.

‘You just keep applauding, it’s beautiful… they make me enjoy football every time!

‘You can tell the team is improving a lot. We play more as a team that we did before, we enjoy it even more, we defend together, we attack together and this team is stronger as well.’

It has been a turbulent season at times for United but could still end successfully. A victory over Villa will lift them to within a point of fourth-placed Leicester City in the Premier League.

United are due to face Chelsea in the FA Cup semi-finals on July 19 and resume their UEFA Europa League campaign at the last-16 stage next month.

Pogba said: ‘To become a top, top team we just need to forget about the last game. We do it, we play well, we do great but then we forget about it and we think about the next one.

‘That’s also the mentality of this club, it’s always been like that. We’re never satisfied with one trophy or one game we win or two games or 10 games, you want more, you always want more.

‘That’s what makes Manchester United the biggest club, for me, in England.’
