It’s all go at the Bali Dynasty Resort: following the successful relocation of Gracie Kelly’s Irish Pub to a bigger and better street-front venue, Bali Dynasty Resort is on an extraordinary mission to continue enhancing its facilities at lightning speed. During this year alone, the resort’s ongoing revitalisation project is expected to total in excess of IDR 32 billion (USD 2.2 million).

TD spoke to marketing communications manager Albert Priyatama and director of sales and marketing Nicoline Dolman to learn more about the new developments:

Gracie Kelly’s Irish Pub

On 17 March 2019, Saint Patrick’s Day was a spirited celebration that marked the official launch of the new-look Gracie Kelly’s in the heart of South Kuta. Inspired by classic Irish architecture, this 187-seat, multi-storey venue is a spacious place where people can come to eat, drink and be entertained by live music in air-conditioned comfort.

It features an extended bar, wood-panelled stage, parlour seating nooks and an open-air rooftop events space for up to 90 people. An upstairs mezzanine area is also set up for recreation with pool tables, electronic darts and other fun pub activities.

Premier Lounge

By mid-May, Bali Dynasty Resort will be ready to open its new Premier Lounge in time for the peak summer holiday season. Located on the ground level adjacent to Café Piazza, this versatile area with seating for up to 48 people will serve as a venue for the exclusive use of departing guests before they head to the airport.

“The service level is incredible”

“We are such an established brand, so the service level is incredible – many of our staff have been with us a long time,” starts Dolman as she explains the importance of the welcome of the resort upon arrival and the guests’ lasting memories of their holidays upon departure.

The Premier Lounge will present a décor that reflects modern Bali and its personalised approach towards hospitality and will be supported by facilities including a reception desk, seating areas, WiFi access, and a refreshment station.

Changing rooms for both genders will feature digital lockers and shower amenities. There will even be a dedicated kids’ corner featuring toys, games and a PlayStation.

Incorporated within the Premier Lounge will be an executive meeting room that can accommodate up to 40 people. Equipped with the latest in audio-visual technology, it will provide an alternative venue for group events and private gatherings.

With seating for up to 48 people, the Premier Lounge will take the hassle out of having to wait around for a late flight, for an entrance fee of just IDR 125,000 net per adult. The space aims to provide peace of mind for guests so they know that there is somewhere to unwind, eat, drink and shower in full air-conditioned comfort. No charge will apply for children under 12 years of age.

Family Lagoon Pool Access Rooms

As a new 109-meter-long swimming pool nears completion, Bali Dynasty Resort is preparing to introduce its latest accommodation category. A collection of 16 Family Lagoon Pool Access Rooms, defined by direct access to the lagoon-style swimming pool, are expected to be ready for occupation by July 2019.

“A quieter area than the main Kuta strip. It’s very family friendly”

Dolman continues: “We remind people that the Bali Dynasty Resort is a beach-side property located in South Kuta, also known as Tuban, which is a quieter area than the main Kuta strip. It’s very family friendly and within walking distance of shops, restaurants and night markets. It is also a two-way access road which makes accessibility by car within the surrounding area very easy.”

Configured to sleep parents with children or five adult guests, these ground floor rooms in the resort’s south wing have sliding privacy screens to form two separate sleeping zones.

Guests will be able to step out from their room and plunge into the pool. In-keeping with the resort’s child safety policy, every terrace will be fitted with a secured gate to prevent little ones from accessing the pool without parental supervision.

The pool itself will be a meandering lagoon enveloped by tropical greenery including exotic palms and decorative water features; three resting bays with thatched umbrellas will also provide shaded spots to beat the heat of the day.

A casual pool bar facility will serve up a menu of cold drinks, lunch and dinner selections. There will also be a timber deck set up with reclining chairs and table settings to soak up the sun during the day or enjoy a romantic dinner under the stars.

“We like to think we are as good as any competitors in the region and we are constantly getting better and better,” adds Dolman as she concludes the wrap-up of all the new facilities.
