My father gifted his unusually creative child a camera one Christmas hoping that she would start expressing her emotions through pictures. I was always interested in animals.. I would go walk into the bush with a friend of mine without my parents knowing , to find nest of crows or just to be able to take one photo of a bird in their natural habitat. As my #depression got worse , I lost interest in my creative outlets but something happened to me when I visited #india , I regained a part of myself I had lost. We were on a road trip where I had a horrible sinus infection and barely cared about the fact that we were in the wilderness until I suddenly decided to wind the window down and look for something I hadn’t seen before. This mama #elephant and her baby were both having breakfast I took the photo and went back to closing my eyes. The next day , I showed my dad this photo and after many years , I watched him smile in awe or surprise of his creative child he doesn’t always understand 🙂 !
