Mumbai experiences heaviest rain in decade : death toll rises to 28

With heavy rains lashing Mumbai for the fifth consecutive day, the city has been experiencing the heaviest rainfall in a decade which has created chaos and has claimed several lives. Train services were curtailed due to heavy downpour and were later resumed as the rain receded. Waterlogging on railway tracks has disrupted services across the city.

A wall collapsed in Malad in which 21 people died while 78 others were injured. A 15-year-old girl who was stuck under the debris of the collapsed is feared dead.

Almost 54 flights have been diverted to different airports due to waterlogging….
