GIS – 25 July, 2019: The Mauritius Football team, Club M, secured its place to the finals with a winning score of 1-0 against Mayotte, yesterday afternoon, at the George V stadium in Curepipe.
The Mauritian team scored in the extra time following a nil in the first 90 minutes of the game. After a tight match, Club M was awarded a penalty at the 25th minute of the extra time and Kevin Perticots scored the goal for Mauritius.
As for the other match played between Reunion Island and Seychelles at the Auguste Volaire Stadium in Flacq, Reunion Island sealed the victory by a score of 4-0.
The final football match of the Indian Ocean Islands Games (IOIG) 2019 will be played between Mauritius and Reunion Island on Saturday 27 July 2019 at the George V stadium.
