Marcelo Bielsa says he will decide on his Leeds future after Sunday’s final game of the Premier League season – but has told the club he has no rival offers.

The Argentine is fully expected to commit to a fourth season at Elland Road and talks have opened over the extension of a contract that expires this summer.

Leeds’ hierarchy have always been confident Bielsa would remain, but the 65-year-old says he will wait before considering all factors.

‘The evaluation of the continuity of a manager is such a delicate decision, that every argument should be considered,’ said Bielsa, whose promoted side could yet finish eighth with victory over West Brom.

‘When all the games are completed, it’s the moment to do an evaluation. I prefer for the season to finish and take the decision of all the elements of judgement on the table.’

Bielsa, though, says he is not about to walk out on Leeds for another club.

‘I am not considering any alternative option,’ he stressed. ‘I am being sincere, I do not have alternative options.

‘The structure of this organisation, this team is a place of work where any manager would like to be – even the best managers in the world.

‘That’s to say this place, in Leeds United the club represents, is a place very desired. The president and directors, they have created a structure that has very few weak spots.’
