Liverpool confirm departure of Dejan Lovren as defender joins Zenit St Petersburg in £11m deal after helping club win the Champions League and Premier League title in six-year spell

• Liverpool have confirmed Dejan Lovren has joined Zenit St Petersburg 
• The defender made 185 appearances for the Reds during a six-year spell  
• The Croatian joined the club in 2014 after signing from Southampton

Liverpool have confirmed Dejan Lovren has joined Zenit St Petersburg on a permanent transfer.

The defender made 185 appearances in a six-year spell at Anfield, playing an important role in the Reds’ Champions League victory in 2019 and helping secure the Premier League title this season.

The Croatian joined the Merseyside club from Southampton in 2014.
