Leicester Tigers won their first Premiership title in nine years as Freddie Burns kicked a drop goal in the final minute to hand them a 15-12 victory against Saracens at Twickenham.

Scott Borthwick’s side suffered an early blow when George Ford was forced off due to injury, but they responded well through tries from Hanro Liebenberg and Jasper Wiese to take a 12-6 lead into the break.

Owen Farrell kicked two penalties to bring Saracens level, setting up a thrilling finish, and it was Burns, who replaced Ford, that proved to be the hero as he kicked a drop goal with less than 30 seconds left on the clock.
