InterContinental Koh Samui Resort introduces Asia’s longest overwater wedding aisle

Couples start their romantic journey with a private speedboat transfer from the airport and can choose from one of the resort’s luxurious and unique wedding packages and tailor it to match their vision for their special day, from an elopement for two with the Intimate Affair on Asia’s Longest Over Water Aisle, to a celebration for the entire family on the resort’s secluded beachfront.

The resort has nine wedding venues to choose from, each with their own character. The event can even be spread across the 22 acres of the property, with separate venues for the ceremony, sunset cocktail reception, dinner reception, and even after-party.

The Beach: One of the resort’s most popular venues for weddings and dinner parties, this can hold up to 200 guests for either a standing or seated function. The Baan Taling Ngam beach is considered one of the quietest on Koh Samui and will provide a perfect private feel for the occasion.

Azure Lounge: This exclusive venue perched high above the Gulf of Thailand with panoramic views is the resort’s best location to watch the sun set. Popular for ceremonies and sunset cocktail receptions, the Azure Lounge can hold up to 80 guests for a stand-up function or ceremony.

Infinity Pool: The resort’s transparent pool stage offers a unique setup with infinity views over the palm grove, mountain and sea, perfect for a seated dinner reception or a casual stand-up cocktail event. It is most suited for 80 people. (Extra fee of THB 50,000++)

Beachfront Lawn: The only venue which requires booking accommodation, specifically four Beachfront Pool Villas located on the grass lawn, which also help to create an exclusive and private villa wedding feel, for up to 200 guests.

Private Pier: Elegant and romantic, the InterContinental Koh Samui Resort private pier is most suitable for smaller wedding ceremonies for up to 50 people.

Air Bar Deck: An exclusive enclave of Taling Ngam Bay, with a beachfront location and tropical gardens surrounded by stunning limestone cliffs. Festivities can be organised at one of the locations around the resort for up to 200 guests. Hold your ceremony here then enjoy cocktails at the Air Bar and meals at Amber restaurant. Amber: Asian-inspired venue provides an indoor and outdoor setting overlooking the Gulf of Thailand. Perfect for weddings of up to 100 guests seated or standing.

Baan Taling Ngam meeting room: Meeting room with natural light, direct sea view and patio outside. A great back-up venue for ceremonies for up to 70 guests or dinners for up to 50 guests. The room can also be used as an after-party venue from 11pm until 2am for a fee of THB 15,000++ including sound system.

The Lobby: A great alternative to all those concerned about the weather, with a capacity of 200 guests seated or standing, and a back-up for all weddings and events. (Requires full buy out of Club accommodation)
