They are a nice change from the typical breakfast entrees…pancakes, muffins, waffles and cereal but are super healthy and full of protein.

 

Ingredients (for 8 servings)

  • 1 cup quinoa
  • 1 1/2 cup unsweetened hempmilk, soymilk or almondmilk
  • 1 cup pitted dates (about 5 ounces)
  • 1/2 cup hulled hemp seeds
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened applesauce
  • 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon fine sea salt
  • 3/4 cup almond meal, divided
