Hansi Flick announces he will LEAVE Bayern Munich at the end of the season amid links to the Germany job after being left frustrated over last season’s transfer dealings… and he told his squad of the news today!
Hansi Flick has confirmed he will leave Bayern Munich after falling out with the club’s sporting director.
The Bayern boss – who led club to success in the Champions League in 2020 – will leave the German giants following a disagreement with Hasan Salihamidzic over transfer dealings.
Flick was frustrated with how the club dealt with the summer transfer window last season, having allowed Thiago Alcantara to leave.
The manager was also irritated by Bayern’s inability to find suitable cover for their star striker Robert Lewandowski.
Speaking after Saturday’s 3-2 win over Wolfsburg, he said: ‘I told the team today that I informed the club during the week, after the game in Paris, I would like to terminate my contract at the end of the season.’
