Everton have identified Leeds manager Marcelo Bielsa as a potential replacement for Marco Silva.

As reported by The Mirror, Bielsa is highly regarded by Everton despite currently being under investigation by the Football League over the ‘Spygate’ controversy.

EVERTON’S LAST FIVE RESULTS

Saturday – Watford 1-0 Everton

February 6 – Everton 0-2 Manchester City

February 2 – Everton 1-3 Wolves

January 29 – Huddersfield 0-1 Everton

January 26 – Millwall 3-2 Everton

Everton are in ninth place in the Premier League, and, although Silva retains the backing of owner Farhad Moshiri, their recent slump has been hugely concerning.

Silva, who previously managed in England with Hull and Watford, was appointed as Everton manager in May last year.

On Saturday Everton were beaten 1-0 by Watford with Andre Gray scoring the only goal of the game.

Everton ended the game with ten men after defender Kurt Zouma was dismissed late on.
