The 27-year-old said he knows what he is going to do which has fuelled talk he will join the La Liga giants.

The Chelsea winger’s contract will have 12 months left come the summer and the west London club are believed to want £100million for him.

After Chelsea beat Southampton in October, Hazard admitted to being torn over his next move.

‘Real Madrid is the best club in the world,’ said Hazard. ‘I don’t want to lie, it is my dream since I was a kid. We will see. I don’t want to talk about this every day. I don’t have time, but we will talk about my future soon.

‘In my head, sometimes I wake up in the morning and think I want to go. Sometimes I think I want to stay. It is a hard decision. It is my future. I am 27 and I will turn 28 in January.

‘It is also when you have a dream and you want to make it happen. It is like I have said a lot of times, if I leave I will be happy, I know if I stay I will be happy.’

Maurizio Sarri will be hoping to keep his talisman but his own future is uncertain after a mixed start to his Chelsea tenure.

The Blues sit fourth in the Premier League with a revived Manchester United hot on their tails.

Chelsea lost 4-0 to Bournemouth earlier this month before responding with a 5-0 victory over Huddersfield on Saturday.

Gonzalo Higuain scored a brace on his home Premier League debut and was spotted trying to hold off Ethan Ampadu.
