‘Everything that can be said on this subject has been said’: Borussia Dortmund’s sporting director Michael Zorc insists Jadon Sancho will remain with the club with Manchester United set to miss out on the England star
- Ole Gunnar Solskjaer made Jadon Sancho his number one target this summer
- Manchester United though have yet failed to reach Dortmund’s £108m valuation
- They also failed to meet their August 10 deadline to sign the England forward
- Manchester United reportedly had a bid worth £91m rejected for Sancho
- Dortmund are insistent that their man will remain with them for another year
Borussia Dortmund‘s sporting director Michael Zorc has insisted that Jadon Sancho will not join Manchester United before Monday’s deadline.
Sancho has been United’s number-one target throughout the summer transfer window.
Last week it was reported that the Red Devils had put forward a £91m bid for the England international which was rejected by the Bundesliga side.
Manchester United are running out of time if they wish to sign Jadon Sancho this summer

However Dortmund sporting director Michael Zorc is insistent Sancho will stay at the club
Dortmund had imposed a deadline of August 10 for United to meet their £108m valuation of the player.
But after United failed to meet that deadline, Zorc said in August the German giants would keep Sancho for a further season.
Now Zorc has told Ruhr Nachrichten: ‘Everything that can be said on this subject has already been said. Nothing will change that.’
It remains to be seen whether United have one last attempt to put a greater bid forward to change that stance.
The 20-year-old forward indicated to Dortmund over two months ago that he was keen to make the move to Manchester United, viewing a return to England, after he left Manchester City to join Dortmund, as a challenge he was willing to take on.
Dortmund chiefs accepted his position and were prepared to let him go if they received a £108m offer by August 1 – which they then extended to August 10.
That also passed with United finalising personal terms and agents’ fees before showing their fist firm proposal with their rejected £91m offer.
Sancho missed Dortmund’s 3-2 German Super Cup defeat to Bayern Munich after he suffered a respiratory ilnness.
United have until Monday to put forward a bid and attempt to change Dortmund’s stance
Some fans took his absence as a sign he was wishing to move to Old Trafford, but the club remained adamant that the timing was just a coincidence.
United are running out of time to sign Sancho, who is content at Dortmund despite his desires to leave the club.
Sancho, who is focused on getting the all clear to return to training, was included in the latest England squad on Thursday.
Gareth Southgate’s players are due to report for duty at St George’s Park on deadline day next Monday.
Sancho told Dortmund over two months ago he would like a move to the Premier League
If Sancho does remain in Germany for another season, it would back up the club’s repeated public statements.
Team-mates Erling Haaland and Marco Reus have both said they are pleased to learn he would be staying, while manager Lucien Favre said he would be part of his squad for another season.
CEO Hans-Joachim Watzke said in August that there was ‘no room for interpretation’ about their August 10 deadline for a deal.
