Darts star Fallon Sherrock has exposed an online troll for the vile abuse he sent her, warning that ‘he’d love to stamp on her ugly head’.

Sherrock had been playing in the Modus Icons of Darts League remotely from home and lost a few games on Wednesday.

She was then stunned to find a man with the handle Rileywhufc, who has since deleted his Twitter account, had sent her a threatening private message.

Sherrock shared a screenshot of his words which read: ‘Your [sic] so s*** you s***. I’d love to stamp on your ugly head.’

She accompanied the screenshot with her own message: ‘All I did was not win a game of darts, this is so wrong.’

Sherrock became a fan favourite last year as she shot to fame by becoming the first woman to beat a man at the PDC World Championships.

She was competing in the invitational virtual round-robin tournament, winning two matches on Tuesday but then only one on Wednesday to finish bottom of the day’s standings.

There were plenty of messages of support for Sherrock after she shared the abusive message with her 100,000 followers.

Boxer Anthony Fowler replied: ‘Don’t let these rats get you down.

And fellow professional darts player Ricky Evans posted: ‘Just do what I do Fallon & laugh at them.’

Shadow secretary of state for Northern Ireland, Louise Haigh, added: ‘All you did was slay in a male-dominated world. Losers like these can’t hack it. Do not let it hold you back.’
