Dana White reveals UFC Fight Island WILL return in ‘September or October’

UFC president Dana White has revealed he is planning on taking the sport back to Fight Island by the end of the year.

Yas Islands in Abu Dhabi hosted the first series of events last month and White wants to return there in September or October.

He has also promised ‘big international stars’, which is perhaps a hint that the lightweight championship title fight between Khabib Nurmagomedov and Justin Gaethje – scheduled for October – could take place in the UAE.

White told TMZ: ‘Everybody wants to go there now. Octagon girls all wanna go there, everybody wants to go! We’re working on fights right now for the next run,’ White tells us.

‘Obviously, a lot of the big international stars will fight over there and s**t, I mean, this next trip over there, I’ll probably end up being there for 5 weeks.’

Gaethje is scheduled to take on Khabib in October this year for the lightweight championship

He added: ‘I’m telling you right now, Abu Dhabi is gonna become the fight capital of the world! Place is gonna end up being the fight capital of the world. The stuff that we’re doing over there, the infrastructure that’s already been built, the stuff that we’re talking about doing, this place is gonna be a destination.’

‘If you are a fight fan, everybody wants to come to Fight Island man. You know? Because it’s f*****g cool! It’s fun and it’s a really unique experience right now with all this weirdness that’s going on in the world.’
