Clashes broke out between Palestinians and Israeli police at Jerusalem’s Al Aqsa Mosque compound on Friday, in the latest unrest at the religious site. Mohammad Fityani, the Jerusalem spokesman for the Palestinian Red Crescent Society, said medics had treated about 20 people. “Some of them were transferred to the clinic in Al Aqsa Mosque yard, two cases were transferred to the hospital,” he told The National’s @RosieScammel outside the mosque compound. Some of those wounded were hit by rubber bullets.
