Borussia Dortmund ‘join the race for £40m-rated Aaron Wan-Bissaka’

Borussia Dortmund will attempt to make Aaron Wan-Bissaka their next English hit by launching a bid for the Crystal Palace star this summer.

The Bundesliga leaders lured Jadon Sancho from Manchester City in 2017 and have seen the 18-year-old winger become an integral part of the first-team.

According to The Sun, Dortmund chiefs are ready to do the same with Wan-Bissaka, who has also attracted serious interest from Chelsea and Manchester City.

Palace value the right back at £40million and are under no financial pressure to sell him when the transfer window reopens.

However, they are expected to face a fight to keep the 21-year-old, who has impressed since breaking into Roy Hodgson’s side last season.

Chelsea and City have both been keeping tabs on Wan-Bissaka this season with a view to making a big money move at the end of the season.

But they now face serious competition in the shape of Dortmund, who want to continue the trend of luring young English players to Germany.

Arsenal’s Reiss Nelson has enjoyed success on loan at Hoffenheim this season, while Bayern Munich targeted Chelsea’s Callum Hudson-Odoi in January.
