Birmingham City fans deliver a furious x-rated tirade at despised chief executive Xuandong Ren as he arrives at St Andrews for their final Championship game of the season against Derby

Birmingham City fans were caught on camera attacking the car of their chief executive as he tried to enter the Blues’ stadium ahead of their final game of the season.

The club’s CEO, Xuandong Ren, is unpopular with supporters and has been accused in recent months of ‘killing the club’ due to a lack of investment in their playing squad.

Footage of the incident shows City fans shouting expletives at Mr Ren before leaning over the bonnet of his car with stewards struggling to hold the furious fans back. (Warning: the below video contains foul and abusive language)

One woman appears to shout ‘Be classy’ towards the violent supporters but they ignored her pleas and continued to abuse their chief executive.

Fans had already set off flares as they waited for cars to enter the stadium ahead of a crunch match against Derby County. 

Earlier in the season, Birmingham City fans staged a protests against Mr Ren’s handling of the club during a match against Nottingham Forest in January. 

During the match at St Andrews, supporters held up a banner which read, ‘Killing the club. Get Dong out now’. 

Mr Ren had failed to bring in any January signings, with City fans claiming the squad needed another striker.

The club tried to sign Wolves striker Renat Dadashov on deadline day as a replacement for Alvaro Gimenez, who left on loan, but the deal collapsed.

The Championship side also sold promising 17-year-old forward Jude Bellingham to Borussia Dortmund this week in a £25million sale. 

Since January, the Blues have plummeted down the Championship table, sacking former boss Pep Clotet in the process, and risk being relegated on the final day of the Championship season. 

The Blues will finish in the league’s bottom three if they lose at home to Derby County on Wednesday night and Charlton and Luton pick up wins at the same time.

The Blues would be then relegated if Wigan Athletic failed to be deducted 12 points at the end of the season. for going into administration.
