An Indian child with 24 fingers is at risk of being sacrificed because of a sorcerer’s prophecy
His parents complain that their own kins want to sacrifice the child because they have been made to believe this would guarantee them a life filled with luxuries.
Several relatives of Shivanandan, a 12-year-old boy living in Gurri (Uttar Pradesh, India), want to kill him in order to get rich because he was born with 12 fingers in his hands and 12 toes in his feet.
The parents of the minor claim that their relatives threaten the life of their son after a sorcerer told the would-be butchers that according to a prophecy, the life sacrifice of the boy would guarantee them a wealthy existence.

“We have stopped sending him to school, we have also sought the protection of the police,” said the father.
This news spread like wildfire all over India. Police has taken the matter in its hands.
