Darcy Gardiner could be in hot water after the Brisbane defender was reported for rough conduct following a collision with Josh Daicos at the Gabba.
Just before the quarter time siren of Thursday night’s game, Gardiner suffered a brain fade when he leapt into the back of Collingwood’s young gun after he comfortably took a mark.
The Lions defender tucked his arms inwards so as to dig his shoulder into Daicos, leaving the midfielder in a heap on the turf.

Gardiner was immediately swarmed by Pies players and the umpire put him on report straightaway.
AFL great Leigh Matthews said on Channel 7 commentary: ‘It’s a bad error.
‘Sometimes you’ve just got to know you’re going to be there too late. And Darcy Gardiner was going to be there too late and he just kept going.’
Hawthorn legend Luke Hodge believes Gardiner is destined for a spell on the sidelines following his collision with Daicos.
‘You could tell as soon as he did it, they’ve come in to push and shove and he just stood there, he didn’t argue,’ he said.
‘He knew he did the wrong thing there. It’s fair to say he’s going to have a week or two rest.’
Footy commentator Hamish McLachlan added: ‘He’s sort of treated him like a pinata and he wasn’t expecting it at all.’
