A Boeing 737 with 136 passengers on board slides into a river in Florida

Boeing 737 commercial jet coming from Guantanamo Bay military station in Cuba with 136 passengers on board went off the runway and landed into the St. Johns River near Jacksonville, Florida at around 9:40 pm after landing on Friday. The plane was attempting to land during thunderstorm. Luckily, the plane was in shallow water and not submerged in the river. There were no fatalities. The crew members and the passengers have been rescued by the firefighters. Around 50 firefighters were involved in the rescue operation.
