Christian Pulisic‘s father has criticised his son’s lack of playing time at Chelsea, describing his situation as ‘sad’.
Pulisic featured as a substitute in Chelsea’s defeat by Everton on Sunday and hasn’t started a Premier League game for almost two months.
In a tweet that was subsequently deleted, Pulisic’s dad Mark hinted that the United States international could end up leaving Chelsea if he doesn’t start more regularly.

Pulisic’s dad suggested that there are a ‘big six months ahead’, seemingly in reference to the World Cup, which is set to get underway in Qatar in November.
Furthermore, he stated that the 23-year-old ‘loves the club, his teammates, and London’.
Mark Pulisic wrote: ‘The sad thing is he loves the club, teammates, and London… puts his heart and soul into being a pro. Onwards and upwards my boy… big six months ahead..’
Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel hasn’t given Pulisic a start in the league for almost two months
Pulisic has been named in the starting lineup just 10 times in the league this campaign. Although he still has two years remaining on his Chelsea contract, his current situation could cause uncertainty over his future.
Signed from Borussia Dortmund in 2019, Pulisic won the Champions League with Chelsea last season and featured as a substitute in the final against Manchester City.
Although he is capable of playing on either flank, behind the striker or up front, Pulisic has found his opportunities limited of late.

One problem that Pulisic faces is that Thomas Tuchel often opts to play with a three at the back formation without any wingers.
Pulisic will hope that he can force his way back into the Chelsea starting lineup before the end of the season as Tuchel’s side look to guarantee a top-four finish.
The Blues have four league games remaining, while they also have the FA Cup final against Liverpool to look forward to on May 14.
Chelsea have won just one of their last four league games and return to action at home to Wolves next weekend.
