Brisbane‘s perfect start to the season is over after Chris Fagan’s side suffered a 10-point defeat to the Geelong Cats on Friday night.

The Lions – tipped to mount a real challenge for the premiership this year – travelled to Victoria for their toughest test of the season, having coasted past Port, Essendon and North Melbourne.

In a nip-and-tuck contest with both sides wrestling for the lead, Cats gun Tom Hawkins rose to the fore to kick five goals to guide the hosts to a 10-point win.e.
