Liverpool are ‘ready to raid Porto AGAIN after signing Luis Diaz as they show interest in winger Otavio’… but the Reds ‘will face competition from Manchester United and Newcastle for his signature’

  • Liverpool, Manchester United and Newcastle are interested in Porto star Otavio
  • The Portugal winger is attracting interest from a number of clubs across Europe
  • Any club looking to sign the winger will need to match his £50m buyout clause
  • Reds have already signed Luis Diaz from Porto and could be back in the summer

Liverpool are reportedly preparing to raid Porto again – just months after snapping up Luis Diaz – as they show interest in Portuguese winger Otavio.

The 27-year-old is attracting the attention from a number of clubs across Europe but a move to the Premier League could be on the cards this summer, with Manchester United and Newcastle also keeping tabs.

Otavio has been in impressive form in Liga NOS this season but any club looking to sign him will have to pay his buyout clause of £50million (€60m), according to A Bola.

Should Liverpool sign the Brazilian-born forward, it would see Otavio reunite with Diaz on Merseyside, with the pair playing together in Portugal.

Otavio has five goals and 11 assists so far this season and features mainly on the right side.

However, he is versatile and can play anywhere across the front-line, making him an attractive proposition for top clubs around Europe.

While Jurgen Klopp is still looking to strengthen his squad, United are also keen to have a major overhaul this summer, with Otavio potentially seen as an upgrade on Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial.

Meanwhile, Saudi-backed Newcastle will continue to build on their strong January transfer window as they look to join the Premier League’s elite in the next few years with smart recruitment.

Like United and Liverpool, the Magpies would be able to stump up the fee Porto are asking for, where he could join the likes of Kieran Trippier and Bruno Guimaraes and become the club’s next major acquisition.

Otavio guided Portugal to a 3-1 win over Turkey earlier this week, to put Cristiano Ronaldo and Co in the final World Cup qualification play-off against North Macedonia.
