Most Indians are ardent followers of some kind of religion and practitioners of a particular Dharma. Nevertheless, the happiness index of a normal Indian citizen is below the international average. Most of us know and exercise the Japa, Tapa, Dhyaan, and other spiritual practices; still, it appears that the blessings of the Almighty shower less on us as compared to Westerners or citizens of First World countries. They may not be that religious and even mock religious rituals; but, prosperity still favours them.
An astrological insight – Why do Indians lag behind while Westerners enjoy their lives?
As a society, we are well informed, hard workers, sufficiently spiritualistic. But, we are still, largely, a globally deprived lot. The answer to this riddle is embedded in the roots of our society and we can easily decipher it through a holistic horoscope reading. The entire commentary is meant for one’s self realization and introspection.
Many of these things can be identified in the horoscope, and if we start applying the Karmic Korrection to an individual, then to a set of people, and finally to all of society—we may probably light a torch for new generations.
Lack of clarity
We lack clarity: the things that we publicly denounce, we strive for them privately. For example, we publicly condemn all unscrupulous ways to earn wealth. However, in private, we apply all sorts of gimmicks, right or wrong, to gain the maximum wealth. As a habit, we maintain double standards and have ample time to comment on and criticize things with which we are not concerned at all. Most of the time, our moral values take the back seat.
With this lack of clarity, we inadvertently activate our twelfth house, which is the house of loss. An activated house of loss does not allow us to climb up.
Inheritance in blood
We are taught not to believe. As a society, we uphold that without lying one cannot earn and without corruption one cannot scale heights. There are very few parents who would restrict their ward from carrying out corrupt practices. This sense of disbelief for one another and rampant corrupt practices activate the sixth and twelfth house of the native which is rivalry, loss, and imprisonment. As the fulcrum of corruption sways more on one side, which happens when the bounty is not distributed in agreed proportion, these houses create havoc upon the person.
Adherers of Dharma but do we truly mean it?
So hollow-hearted are we that we try to manipulate the Gods, too.
•To get a piece of work accomplished we go and whisper an arbitrary figure for bribing the God as well.
•We hire people to please God on our behalf.
•We do not love but fear God and His Dharma.
•A small loss can drive one away from the God and values he had been worshipping for long, and at that time he won’t even mind uttering few abuses to Him.
•Those who want more and have more, worship more. The constant fear of loss drives them to pray more.
•Those who commit more ill-doings, worship more to please the God, so he is not punished.
The so-called adherer of Dharma is in fact just commoner whose values can change and drift with only a small blow from fate.
When we are custom driven
Trying to defend, arbitrarily arguing for, and following age-old customs are fairly normal. Society is bound to customs, but the human bond or touch is missing. The thought of changing these practices, however, is not entertained as one fears incurring God’s wrath.
By following customs blindly, we activate our eighth house which is also known as the house of death.
Dishonesty
Despite being a literate lot, we rarely practise basic common sense:
•Educated people will not miss a chance to throw trash in public places.
•The keepers of law will often break the law for no reason.
•Those responsible for keeping equilibrium in society will sway to one side for obvious reasons.
•The strong will deliberately suppress the weak. However, we forget that this strong person can and will meet a stronger person someday.
The most obvious reason behind this is that we are always looking for the path of least resistance, however anti-law and anti-Dharma that path may be.
This embedded nature of dishonesty activates almost all negatives traits of every house of the horoscope. And for this reason, we are bound to get negative results more often.
High-handedness:
We work arbitrarily. The things we preach we do not follow.
•We forget our duties but remember others’ responsibilities.
•Showing off is our way of life.
•We have made our lives very complicated.
•We try and make our kids the same way as we are.
•Blaming each other is a national pastime.
•We do not learn and implement.
When a crime is committed, we generally say the government is not working or the police are not functioning. But, we forget that one of us is responsible and we have done nothing to change this. Our Lagna is spoilt with little support from the trines and Kendra.
