Lewis Hamilton will be looking to maintain his early season momentum by landing pole ahead of Sunday’s Monaco Grand Prix.
But Hamilton – who holds a 14-point lead having won three of the first four races – is unlikely to have it all his own way after Ferrari topped a dry-weather second practice session on Thursday with an unexpected one-two.
And Red Bull’s Max Verstappen, Hamilton’s biggest challenger this season, will be desperate to get one over his title rival during Saturday’s qualifying after finishing top of final practice.
