It had initially appeared that his deal with streaming service Triller would continue after a reported 1.5million pay-per-views were sold, but Jake Paul confirmed the news of a multi-fight deal with Showtime on his Twitter account, saying ‘it’s showtime’ in response to the announcement.

Triller Fight Club president Ryan Kavanaugh said:  ‘We love Jake and I wish him the absolute best.

‘We had our two fights with him – I think for us, we’ve gone the distance with him that we can go. We won’t be doing any more Jake fights.’

‘Jake is proud of the events he participated in with Triller and appreciates the opportunities they afforded him,’ his manager Nakisa Bidarian told ESPN.

‘Jake is excited to continue his boxing career with Showtime Boxing. – fight announcement coming soon.’

Showtime have also shown Mayweather’s momentous fights with Conor McGregor in 2017 and Manny Pacquiao two years beforehand.

Meanwhile, UFC president Dana White went on an expletive rant earlier this week against Triller for trying to enter the world of MMA.

White, 51, said at UFC 262 post-fight news conference: ‘Don’t even ask me about these idiots. Who gives a s***? Does anybody give a s***? You do? I don’t give a s*** what they think. You think I care what Triller thinks?

‘I don’t even take their calls. This idiot calls me every day. He calls me every day: ‘Please answer my call. Please talk to me. Why won’t you talk to me?’ Because I don’t give a f*** about you. Do your thing. Leave me alone. Go f****** do whatever it is you’re doing. Knock yourself out.

‘I (couldn’t) care less. I have no interest in talking to any of those idiots. They can do their thing. Do your thing. Stop talking about me. What do you give a s*** what I’m doing? Go do your thing.’
