West Ham and Southampton are weighing up loan moves for Liverpool‘s Marko Grujic before Monday’s transfer deadline.

Grujic, 24, has spent the last two seasons on loan at Hertha Berlin in Germany where he made 54 appearances, scoring nine times and setting up three more goals.

He has featured twice this season, appearing in both of Liverpool’s Carabao Cup games against Lincoln and Arsenal.

Both clubs are also among the sides interested in Chelsea’s Ruben Loftus-Cheek.

But while Southampton expect to be priced out due to the England midfielder’s wages, West Ham are ready to press ahead with their pursuit of the 24 year-old.

West Ham have also had a bid for Club Brugge midfielder and captain Hans Vanaken rejected.

Meanwhile West Ham remain in discussions with Jack Wilshere and hopeful of reaching an agreement over his exit.

Wilshere has less than 12 months left on the three-year contract, worth around £100,000-per-week, that he signed when he joined on a free after leaving Arsenal in 2018.

However he has been restricted to just 18 appearances due to injury.

West Ham would ideally like to find a buyer for Wilshere that would allow them to recoup some cash.

However, if there are no takers before the window closes they aim to reach a compromise to cancel his contract by mutual consent.
