Rangers have signed former Leeds striker Kemar Roofe from Anderlecht for around £4million.

The forward has signed a four-year contract with the Ibrox side.

The 27-year-old told RangersTV: ‘It’s amazing. Things happen so quickly so it’s difficult to get a perspective of what is really going on, but coming here to the training ground to see the environment and see all the staff, you realise this is serious and this is a big place.

‘The main goal is obviously to win and to get success again. As a footballer, you want to keep testing yourself and you also want to be playing at the biggest clubs possible.

‘I am looking forward to experiencing Ibrox and am excited to play in Europe.’

Roofe had struggled for fitness after joining Vincent Kompany’s side in a £5m deal last summer.

He has managed six goals in 13 appearances and the Belgians are ready to recoup some of their outlay after a disappointing season all round for the club.
