Republic of Mauritius- PM informs that there are 406 Police Officers posted in 13 different units of the Traffic Branch

​GIS – 07 July 2020:The Prime Minister, Mr Pravind Kumar Jugnauth, stated today in the National Assembly that there are 406 Police Officers posted in 13 different units of the Traffic Branch and 194 vehicles attached to them as per the information given to him by the Commissioner of Police.

He was replying to a parliamentary question in regard to the Traffic Branch pertaining to the number of Police Officers posted in each of the units.

Concerning the duties assigned and number of vehicles attached thereto, the Leader of the House tabled lists of the number of Police Officers posted in each unit of the Traffic Branch and their respective duties as well as the number of vehicles attached.
