‘We have made what can only be considered a very attractive offer to Nathan but he intends to pursue his career elsewhere,’ Luke Dowling, West Brom’s sporting and technical director, told the club’s official website.
‘It’s a disappointment for everyone here but it is the player’s prerogative.’
Ferguson, who has made 21 appearances for West Brom during the 2019-20 campaign, has just days left on his contract at the club with the deal expiring on June 30.
Palace hoped to bring in the right back after striking a deal rising to £10m for the England Under 20 defender back in January.
But Ferguson’s medical showed up a knee issue, which required surgery, and his proposed switch was eventually called off.
