A new feature in this year’s edition is the training on Design Thinking and Innovation in Education, which will take place in March 2020, and will target facilitators who will then coach the students in the development of their projects.
Secondary schools are presently being invited to participate in InnovEd 2020, which will build on the theory of Multiple Intelligences along with themes targeting the creative industries. The themes are: Interactive Media, Cultural Heritage, Performing Arts, Visual Arts and Craft, Design and Languages and Publishing. Students have up to 17 February to register.
The 2020 edition will also emphasise on the Innovation Club, which the NPCC intends to further develop into a permanent structure that will co-exist alongside the yearly InnovEd editions. The Innovation Club will serve as a think-tank on creativity and innovation while at the same time providing a framework for students to develop their skills in these fields.
Furthermore, this year will also include the CREAThon project which has as objective to convert selected prototypes developed in Innovation Clubs into products or services with the assistance from experts.
