Novak Djokovic a remporté dimanche son 8e Open d’Australie en battant Dominic Thiem 6-4, 4-6, 2-6, 6-3, 6-4, synonyme de 17e titre du Grand Chelem qui le rapproche du record de Roger Federer (20) et lui permet de redevenir N.1 mondial.

Le Serbe de 32 ans détient le record de victoires à Melbourne. Thiem, 26 ans, échoue pour la 3e fois en finale d’un Majeur après Roland-Garros 2018 et 2019 où il avait été battu par Rafael Nadal.
