Republic of Mauritius- New Cabinet Sworn in with Pravind Kumar Jugnauth as Prime Minister

GIS – 12 November, 2019: The new cabinet, set to govern the country for the next five years with Mr Pravind Kumar Jugnauth as Prime Minister, was sworn in before the Acting President, Mr Paramasivum Pillay Vyapoory, this morning at the State House, Le Reduit.

The Prime Minister, also Minister of Defence, Home Affairs and External Communications, Minister for Rodrigues, Outer Islands and Territorial Integrity will lead a team of twenty-three Ministers, namely:

Mr Ivan Leslie Collendavelloo – Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Energy and Public Utilities

Mrs Leela Devi Dookun-Luchoomun – Vice-Prime Minister, Minister of Education, Tertiary Education, Science and Technology

Dr Mohammad Anwar Husnoo – Vice-Prime Minister, Minister of Local Government, Disaster and Risk Management

Mr Alan Ganoo – Minister of Land Transport and Light Rail

Dr Renganaden Padayachy – Minister of Finance, Economic Planning and Development

Mr Nandcoomar Bodha – Minister of Foreign Affairs, Regional Integration and International Trade

Mr Louis Steven Obeegadoo – Minister of Housing and Land Use Planning

Mrs Fazila Jeewa-Daureeawoo – Minister of Social Integration, Social Security and National Solidarity

Mr Soomilduth Bholah – Minister of Industrial Development, Smes and Cooperatives

Mr Kavydass Ramano – Minister of Environment, Solid Waste Management and Climate Change

Mr Mahen Kumar Seeruttun – Minister of Financial Services and Good Governance

Mr Georges Pierre Lesjongard – Minister of Tourism

Mr Maneesh Gobin – Attorney General, Minister of Agro-Industry and Food Security

Mr Yogida Sawmynaden – Minister of Commerce and Consumer Protection
