Top flight clubs are monitoring the progress of Bristol City’s highly-rated teenage striker Prince Derek Henry.

The 15-year-old schoolboy is the cousin of Liverpool and England striker Daniel Sturridge.

He hopes to follow in his footsteps after scoring more than 20 goals during an impressive season playing for Bristol City’s U16s and U18s.

The Robins expect big club interest as the 15-year-old has scored more than 20 goals this term

The athletic forward impressed scouts after scoring during Bristol City U18s’ 3-0 win against Ipswich Town earlier this month and followed up with two more on Wednesday evening, this time for the club’s U16s against local rivals Bristol Rovers in their 3-1 Gloucestershire FA Cup quarter final win.

Henry, who is already 6ft tall, is well regarded by staff at City, including loans manager and former boss Brian Tinnion, but they anticipate approaches from bigger clubs as he continues to develop.
