GIS – 27 July, 2019: The Mauritian team (Men & Women) sailed remarkably in the Laser 4.7 which took place, yesterday, afternoon at the Grand Baie Yacht Club.In the men’s Laser 4.7, O Brian Brasse (Mauritius) came first in the race with 11 points, Yane Rioux (Mauritius) positioning himself second with 19 points and thirdly Dominique Labrosse (Seychelles) with 32 points.
As for the Laser 4.7 women, it was Tasiana Mathieu (Mauritius) who led in this nautical competition with 16 points, followed by Clementine Bretagne (Reunion Island) obtaining 16 points and Annaelle Felicie (Mauritius) occupying the third place with 25 points.
Sailing, a nautical sports competition of the Indian Ocean Island Games (IOIG) 2019 comprised different categories which are namely windsurf, kite surf, laser standard, laser radial and laser 4.7.
