The Premier League have lost another major figure in their organisation with the departure of their head of international broadcasting, Sunil Kaikini.

With the Premier League still searching for a new chief executive following the resignation of Richard Scudamore, Kaikini’s decision to become the new managing director of football at leading sporting marketing agency Pitch International represents a significant blow to the organisation.

Kaikini worked closely with Scudamore in pursuing overseas right deals in his eight years at the Premier League.

In a statement issued yesterday omitted any reference to his former boss.

‘I have spent eight brilliant years at the Premier League, a fantastic organisation which continues to go from strength to strength,’ said Kaikini.

‘I would like to place on record my thanks to Paul Molnar and the rest of the broadcast team for all their support.’
