He’s known for his destructive game, but does Billy Vunipola fancy himself as the next Owen Farrell?
The barnstorming No 8 was pictured practising his kicking skills as England’s preparations for their mouthwatering Six Nations clash with Wales continued on Wednesday.
Kicking was a recurring theme throughout the session with half-backs George Ford, Owen Farrell and Dan Robson going through the motions.

Vunipola wasn’t the only one trying his hand at kicking as fellow No 8 Nathan Hughes had a go

It was surprising to see Vunipola and Nathan Hughes both having a go – but the number eights both did.

England know they face a tough task at the Principality Stadium with Wales also in top form having recorded two wins from two so far as well.
And ahead of Saturday’s pressure-game, England were in high spirits as they trained at their Pennyhill Park Bagshot base.
The likes of Vunipola, Jack Nowell and Jonny May were among those seen smiling during the session.

After former Chelsea and England captain John Terry’s visit on Tuesday, the Red Rose squad were joined by London Irish head coach Les Kiss – who chewed the fat with Jones as the players trained.
May is set to start on the wing for England – fresh from his hat-trick in the 44-8 win over France earlier this month.
Despite his fine form, having scored 12 tries in his last 12 Tests, the 28-year-old is wary of the threat posed by Wales wing George North.
‘Every week is a huge challenge; you come up against top quality wingers,’ he explained to the England Rugby website.
‘George has achieved a lot in the game. He really is a world class winger, a hell of an athlete, fast, strong and a handful, so I’m going to have to be at my best this weekend.’
