GIS – 25 July, 2019: Reunion Island teams, both men and women, won against Mauritius in the Beach Volley tournament of the Indian Ocean Islands Games 2019. The finals were held , yesterday ,at Mont Choisy Beach Volleyball Arena.
Reunion Island team (men) sealed victory on a score of 2-0 (21-17 and 21-10 ) while the women’s team won by 2-1 ( 21-15 , 18-21 and 15–11 ).
It is to be recalled that it is the first time that beach volley has been included in disciplines of the Indian Ocean Islands Games since 1979.
