Women’s team of Mauritius wins silver for beach volley tournament

​GIS – 23 July, 2019: The third day of beach volley matches kicked off, yesterday afternoon, at the Mont Choisy Beach Volleyball Arena, with Reunion Island winning the gold medal and Mauritius winning silver medal in the women’s category.

For the match played between Mauritius and Seychelles, the women’s team of Mauritius defeated Seychelles with a score of 2-0. Team A of Mauritius (women) won set 1 with a score of 21-9 and set 2 by 21-14 while team B (women) brought a score of 21-12 and 21-19 for set 1 and 2 respectively. 

As for the men’s category, the match was played between Mauritius and Reunion Island during which Mauritian Team A defeated Team B of Reunion Island with a score of 21-19 for set 1, 23-21 for set 2 and 15-12 for set 3.

With regard to the last match in the men’s category, Reunion Island defeated Mauritius with a score of 2-1.

The teams of Mauritius and Seychelles will come face to face to dispute the semi-finals for the men’s category today in the afternoon.
