Girona are the visitors to the Bernabeu on Sunday with Santiago Solari’s side aiming for a fifth straight La Liga win.

After a dismal start to the season Real have hit form in recent weeks and now find themselves second in the table, six points behind Barcelona.

They went through an intense session with a focus on ball work, according to the club website.

After starting in the gym they worked on possession and pressing, with Marcos Llorente and Isco continuing their recovery from injury.

He has since backtracked, and said on Friday: ‘I’m very surprised about all this. ‘I was referring to forcing the foul, a foul that was inevitable. Not to forcing the booking.’
